A couple of weak storm systems will bring minor travel impacts to the area this weekend. On Friday morning, there is a low chance for a mix of light sleet, snow, and freezing rain, particularly north of Interstate 70, with a light glaze of ice possible.

A second system will move in late Friday night, starting as light rain before transitioning to a rain/snow mix. By Saturday afternoon, the system will switch to all snow as a strong cold front moves through, dropping temperatures from the 30s into the teens and 20s. Snow accumulations are expected to be minimal, with less than an inch of snow expected.

As temperatures drop, very cold wind chills are forecast to reach 15 degrees below zero by Sunday morning. Looking ahead to next week, additional disturbances may bring more snow chances, especially on Tuesday.
