Geary County USD 475 will continue to require students, staff and visitors to wear masks through at least early spring.

The school board voted Monday to extend its mask requirement for all patrons regardless of vaccination status until April 4, 2022. The board says it will reassess the situation at that time.

The masking requirement applies to all district facilities and vehicles, including school buses.

Staff and students exposed to COVID-19 can still test to stay at school, as part of the district’s Test to Stay and Learn program.
