Two Manhattan men were transported to Ascension Via Christi on Friday evening after a serious accident along K-113 near Seth Child Road and Marlatt Avenue.

The accident occurred at 4:30 pm on Friday afternoon when a 1996 GMC SC1 failed to yield the right of way to a 2003 Ford Econoline. The Ford, driven by 63-year-old Mark Pixley of Manhattan collided with the GMC driven by 22-year-old Spencer Berry of Manhattan.

Both men were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision and both reportedly had serious injuries. Berry was transported to Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan and then was later transported to Stormont Vail in Topeka. Pixley was taken to Ascension Via Christi.

As of Saturday morning, both men remain in the hospital. The Kansas Highway Patrol were the first to respond to the crash scene.
