Wamego’s wrestling team placed ninth at the Rose Hill Invitiational Saturday, with Jake Meyer taking the title at 215 pounds. Also placing were Harry Costa, who finished fourth at 106, Thomas McIntyre, who placed 4th at 150 pounds, and Knox Karnowski, who took sixth at 138.

Rock Creek’s boys finished sixth, Riley County 13th at the Silver Lake Invitational. At 144 pounds, Kaden Gutsch finished third for the Falcons, while, from Rock Creek, Anthony Crubel took sixth at 106, Declan McKinney fifth at 150, Aidan McKinney fifth at 157, Kendal Grimes fifth at 165, Nick Allen fifth at 175, Wade Rottinghaus fourth at 190 and Isaiah Cazee fifth at 285.

The Rock Creek girls team took sixth in their tournament at Silver Lake Saturday, as Brooklyn Burenheide won the individual title at 125 pounds. Joee Perkins finished third at 100, Gabby Roth second at 140,
Elocin Moran fifth at 145, Brooke Almeda third at 155 and Cecelia Lynch fifth at 190.
