Riley County is reporting 37 new positive COVID-19 cases and 37 recoveries since Monday’s report.

This brings the total number of active cases to 100 and recoveries to 2,066.

The percent-positive rate for the week of Oct. 18 came in at 7.7 percent, or 83 positive results out of 1,077 total tests.

This is up slightly from the previous week’s rate of five percent, or 55 positive results out of 1,105 total tests.

Ascension Via Christi Hospital is caring for two COVID-19 positive patients at this time.

Riley County currently has five active outbreaks. All outbreaks located at K-State Greek Houses have expired and no new outbreaks have been reported since the last report.

Riley County will offer a free testing event on Thursday, Nov. 5 at Pottorf Hall in CiCo Park. Testing will take place from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. You do not have to be a Manhattan or Riley County resident to participate.

Processing for test results is currently taking about 24 to 72 hours.
