Chase Newberry, 24, of Manhattan was arrested on May 24, 2023, around 5:15 p.m. on his Riley County District Court warrant for rape and two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy. This warrant stems from a March 23, 2022, rape in Manhattan involving a now 20-year-old female victim. Newberry remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $50,000.
