Officers responded to the report of an injury accident at the intersection of Claflin Road and North Seth Child Road in Manhattan on April 3, 2024, at approximately 1:52 PM. When officers arrived on the scene they found three vehicles were involved in the accident; a 2011 Ford E450 driven by Bettina Moffith, 29, of Manhattan, a 2018 Subaru Outback driven by Dan Deines, age 76, of Manhattan, and a 2016 Dodge Caravan driven by William Crawford, 74, of Manhattan involved in the multi-vehicle collision. Three people involved in the accident were transported to the hospital for what was initially believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Two of the three were later air-lifted to Stormont Vail Medical Center for continued care as their conditions were upgraded. Moffith was cited for failure to yield at a red light.
