With no K-State football this weekend, there are still plenty of events to keep people busy in the Little Apple and surrounding communities.

The 47th annual Pumpkin Patch Arts & Crafts Fair opens 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at CiCo Park.

Saturday is loaded with community events from the chili crawl in Aggieville to Flint Hills Beer Fest in Blue Earth Plaza and the Little Apple Marathon at Tuttle Creek State Park and a free family movie night at City Park beginning at 5 p.m.

USD 378 Riley County Schools will hold an official grand opening Saturday at the grade school and high school following recent renovations from its most recent bond project. Superintendent Cliff Williams says the open house runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
