A Manhattan man was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly striking another man with a hammer.
Miguel Gerber, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday after Riley County police officers responded to the 1000 block of Leavenworth St. about 25 minutes earlier to a report of aggravated battery.
The victim, a 21-year-old male, reported to officers that a 19-year-old male had struck him with a hammer.
Gerber was was arrested in connection to the report and issued a $5,000 total bond.
He was still confined at the time of the arrest report.
