For the first time since the announcement of former Kansas State senior wing Achor Achor dismissal on Wednesday, head coach Jerome Tang met the with media, addressing the dismissal and other issues around the program heading into the final week of non-conference play.
Achor, who transferred to K-State after two seasons at Samford, played in seven of the Wildcats’ first nine games of the year, is the second player in as many years to be kicked off the team, following Nae’Qwan Tomlin’s exit early in the 2023-24 season.
Achor averaged 7.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game. Those minutes have to go somewhere, and Tang is looking toward the end of his bench to provide a spark as the Wildcats’ make the transition into conference play later this month.
