The Flint Hills Breadbasket and Common Table are collaborating to bring back a community Thanksgiving meal this week.

Hagemeister also emphasized the importance of not only being fed on Thanksgiving, but sharing time with others as well over the Thanksgiving holiday.

The meal is free, but also anonymous.

Common Table coordinates community meals seven days a week at 6 pm at church locations in the downtown area of Manhattan. The Thanksgiving meal will be held on Thursday, November 23, from 11am to 2pm at Presby Place, a part of First Presbyterian Church in downtown Manhattan. All guests who are in line at 2pm are guaranteed to be served.

The collaborative meal will be the first time in three years that the event will be held on Thanksgiving.
