Kansas State’s three-game run of wins over Top 25 teams has landed them just outside the Top 10, as the Wildcats are ranked for the first time in five seasons.

The Cats jumped all the way to number 11 after clipping both Texas and Baylor last week on the road. Despite the loss to K-State, the Longhorns are ranked just ahead of the Wildcats at number 10, while Kansas has climbed to number two, just behind Houston.

Iowa State also made a big move, jumping 11 spots to number 14, TCU checks in at number 17 after being unranked last week. Baylor fell from the Top 25, but led those receiving votes.

After KU at number two, the remainder of the Top 5 is Purdue, Alabama and Tennessee.

K-State will try to extend the best conference start since the late 50’s when they host Oklahoma State Tuesday at six on Newsradio KMAN.
