We all do it. Take a trip down Nostalgia Lane (or ‘down the rabbit hole, as some say) when we’re cruising the internet or social media. I did it just yesterday, and while soaking up the glory that is Blink-182’s ‘All The Small Things’ video on YouTube, I scrolled down to see what else the algorithm thought I needed and I stumbled upon this little tidbit…

Eminem, world-famous rapper-type dude, was apparently in the ‘Got The Life’ video from KORN.

Yep. KORN released “Got the Life” in 1998 and the video quickly became an MTV hit. So much so that it became the first retired video on MTV’s Total Request Live. Two years earlier, Marshall Mathers was selling copies of his debut album and cassette. ‘Infinite’, out of the trunk of his car. It wouldn’t be until 1999 that Eminem would burst onto the music scene with ‘The Slim Shady’.

At first I was skeptical (and kind-of still am), but it sure looks like him. But I had to be sure, so down another rabbit hole! This time to find out if it really was the Detroit prodigy. After a bit of searching, I discovered this interview with Munky, Jonathon and Head.

Sure enough, there’s the confirmation. I assume Marshall was just looking for his big break.
