After shoring up most if not all of their glaring issues via free agency, the Kansas City Chiefs have many options as we get set for the 2025 NFL Draft. The Chiefs come into the draft with eight picks, four of which come within the first 100 picks overall because of last year’s trade with Tennessee that sent L’Jarius Sneed to the Titans with Kansas City receiving a third round pick in this year’s draft. With plenty of options, here are what the experts say the Chiefs will do in the first round:

Mel Kiper Jr. – Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Kiper also said that he wouldn’t be surprised if Kansas City took LSU Tight End Mason Taylor in this spot.

There is a strong theme in a lot of these mock drafts: Josh Simmons falling to Kansas City. In a draft that doesn’t have a ton of tackle talent, it wouldn’t necessarily be surprising to see Simmons off of the board well before pick 31. That said, general manager Brett Veach has been very aggressive in round 1 of the draft, such as trading up to draft Trent McDuffie in 2022 and trading up to snag Xavier Worthy just last year. It wouldn’t necessarily be a surprise to see him move up again, especially with an extra 2026 4th rounder in his back pocket after trading guard Joe Thuney to the Chicago Bears early in the off-season.
