Six Wildcats scored in double figures led by a season-high 21 points from senior Achor Achor, as Kansas State set the school single-game scoring record in a 120-73 win over UAPB on Sunday afternoon before 7,971 fans at Bramlage Coliseum.

The 120 points eclipsed the previous mark of 116 set in an overtime win over No. 6/6 Texas on Jan. 3, 2023, while they were the most in a game at Bramlage Coliseum since totaling 115 in a win over Fresno State in the NIT quarterfinals on March 24, 1994.

The Wildcats (6-2) were two 3-point field goals shy of the school record of 23 set against Fresno State in 1994, as eight different players registered at least one made triple led by a season-high 5 from freshman David Castillo. The 40 combined 3-point attempts shattered the school record of 37 set in 2005 and 2020.

In addition to the 63 points from the 3-point line, K-State scored 36 points in the paint and 32 points off turnovers while receiving a school record 68 points from its bench.

K-State connected on 61.5 percent (40-of-65) from the field, including 52.5 percent (21-of-40) from 3-point range, while the team hit on 19 of 26 from the free throw line. The team had assists on 30 of their 40 field goals made, including a game-high 10 from junior Dug McDaniel, who finished with his first career double-double as a Wildcat with 18 points to go with 5 steals.

It marked the first time K-State has totaled 40 made field goals since a win over Missouri on Jan. 3, 1998, while it topped 30 assists for the first time since 2008.

Joining Achor, Castillo and McDaniel in double figures were senior David N’Guessan (17 points), junior Brendan Hausen (14 points) and senior Max Jones (12 points).
