(14/13) K-State used a pair of 30-point quarters on Saturday to record a dominant win over UCF, 97-67, at Bramlage Coliseum.
The Wildcats extended its home court winning streak to 16 games. This is tied for the sixth-longest home win streak in program history and tied for the third-longest in Bramlage Coliseum. The 32 home wins over the last two seasons are tied for the most wins in Bramlage over a two-season span in program history.
K-State (24-3, 12-2 Big 12) secured its 50th win in the last two seasons. The 50 victories in the last two seasons are tied for the sixth-most over a two season span and the most since the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons (54).
The Wildcats tallied a season-high 32 points in the first quarter and notched 31 points in the third quarter. This was the first time since Dec. 18, 2023, against Oral Roberts that the Wildcats tallied 30 or more points in two or more quarters.
Aiding in the 30-point quarters, K-State made 14 three-pointers on 20 attempts for an effort of 70.0 percent. The Wildcats were the first team in the nation to shoot 70.0 percent or better from long-range on 20 or more attempts this season and the eighth team since 2009-10 to achieve the feat.
The Wildcats secured their ninth game this season with 90 or more points, setting a new school record for 90 or more points in a season.
The Wildcats saw four players reach double digits, led by sophomore and Big 12 Sixth Player of the Year candidate Taryn Sides with a game-high 21 points on 7-of-8 shooting, including 6-of-7 from long range, six assists, four steals and two blocks.
Joining Sides were seniors Temira Poindexter and Jaelyn Glenn with 16 and 14 points respectively. Poindexter and Glenn were each 4-of-6 from long range. Glenn added six assists and two steals to her final line.
Sophomore guard Zyanna Walker carded 14 points, six assists, and a career-high tying five steals.
