WAMEGO — Wamego High School head boys’ basketball coach Steve Fritz will not be retained for the 2026-27 school year, following a USD 320 board meeting Monday night.
Travis Graber, WHS athletics and activities director, submitted renewal recommendations to the board for coaches of fall and winter sports, and Fritz — who took over the Red Raiders three seasons ago following the resignation of Troy Hemphill — was not among the names listed. Graber’s recommendations were passed unanimously by the board.
