Wamego came away with a second-place finish at the state softball tournament last week at Arrocha Ballpark in Lawrence.
The No. 7 seed Red Raiders knocked off No. 6 Andale 3-2 on Wednesday before falling to No. 1 Fort Scott 6-0 in the championship game on Saturday.
