Wamego’s wrestlers took fifth as a team, Rock Creek’s 12th at the annual Baldwin Boys Invitational Saturday.
Knox Karnowski of the Red Raiders claimed the title at 138, the only individual title claimed on the day by a local wrestler. At 106, Harry Costa placed second, Thomas McIntyre took second at 150, Talon Conrad claimed third at 175, Jake Meyer was the runner up at 215 and Mason King placed third at 285. Hayden Wolfe placed 7th at 120, Tyler Hecke did the same at 126, Ethan Ibendahl took sixth at 157.
For Rock Creek, Aidan McKinney finished second at 157, Nick Allen took fifth at 175 and Wade Rottinghaus was the sixth-place finisher at 190.
Tonganoxie won the team title by nearly 80 points over second place finisher Santa Fe Trail.
