Join us Friday, November 10th for the Flint Hills Veterans Day Parade. The parade will start at 9:30 AM and proceeds along Poyntz Avenue to City Hall. It will be followed by the Ceremony of Honor, held inside Peace Memorial Auditorium. Retired General Bill Turner will be the guest speaker at the ceremony, which also includes testimonies of students who will present patriotic essays and posters.
The ceremony will be held at 11am and carried live on News Radio KMAN will be providing live coverage of the event.
A free breakfast will precede Friday’s parade at The American Legion.
It is sponsored by the Flint Hills Veterans Coalition offering the public the opportunity to show their support for those who serve on our nation’s most visible stage.
To conduct the parade the Flint Hills Veterans Coalition works in partnership with the Kansas State Army and Air Force ROTC, Ft. Riley, USO, and other organizations.
