A new principal has been named at Lee Elementary in Manhattan.

The district announced Daniel Pray will move into that position, effective July 1. He has been the principal at Jackson Heights Elementary in Holton since August 2022 and was previously the MTSS Coordinator at Manhattan’s Anthony Middle School. He began his career as an elementary teacher at Rock Creek Schools. He holds degrees from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska and Fort Hays State where he recieved a Masters in Building Administration.

Pray succeeds Erica Bammes who left for a position with Rock Creek.

According to school board agenda documents, Pray will earn an annual salary of $79,000.
