The Riley County Police Department says officers are investigating an incident reported Sunday afternoon in the 1400 block of Flint Hills Place.
A social media post went out around 4:15 p.m. asking residents in that area to shelter in place while police investigated. A short time after 4:30 p.m. that notice was lifted, but a police spokesperson said RCPD and Kansas Highway Patrol authorities remain on scene.
Riley County EMS was dispatched for a medical-stabbing/gunshot call shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday. Police have confirmed to KMAN this was related to their investigation.
