Two people were injured in an accident just before 6 p.m. Saturday in Wabaunsee County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported 2016 Buick passenger vehicle driven by Carsyn Frieden, 20, Cheney, was westbound on I-70 just east of Spring Creek Road. The vehicle hydroplaned, left the roadway to the right and collided with a 2008 Chevy pickup that was merging onto I-70 westbound. After impact the Buick rolled and came to rest in the north ditch.
EMS transported Frieden and a passenger in the Buick Abigail Pegues, 20, Altamont, to Via Christi in Manhattan. The pickup driver Ryan Theel, 43, Alma, was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
