Two young men were taken to a local hospital following an accident on Tuesday afternoon in Clay County that resulted after a chase with law enforcement.
The accident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. when 17-year-old Joshua McCulloh of Junction City was travelling northbound on Granite Road in his 2008 Jeep Liberty after he attemped to flee law enforcement. The vehicle veered right off of the roadway and overcorrected, veering left and crossing the roadway into a field on the West side of the road.
The Jeep then turned sideways, facing east, and began to roll approximately 4-6 times ejecting the driver, coming to rest in the West field near the road facing southeast. McCulloh was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for a suspected minor injury along with his passenger, 21-year-old Qwa’Driques Dotson of Salina.
It is unknown at this time if any arrests have been made in the case as no further information was provided by the KHP.
