In a social media post, President Joe Biden announced that he is dropping his reelection bid against Donald Trump. The announcement throws more turmoil into the election just months before voters go to the polls.
Kansas Rep Tracey Mann responded to Biden’s decision saying…
“I am confident that the November elections will give Republicans success up and down the ballot. No matter the Democratic nominee, Republicans have better ideas to unite Americans and save the country.”
Biden’s decision comes after a poor debate performance that prompted many lawmakers to urge him to withdraw from the race. The president said he will address the American people later this week in more detail.
Former Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said in a press release that whoever replaces Biden would carry on the his same policies,
“When I was your Kansas attorney general, I came to know then-California AG Kamala Harris. And I will just say: We do not want her leading our country.”
Donald Trump on Saturday held his first public campaign rally since assassination attempt, with an event in the battleground state of Michigan alongside his new running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance.
