Riley County Police responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident on December 8, 2024, at approximately 12:47 PM in the 2500 block of Marlatt Avenue.
Officers identified 17-year-old Malachi Kahssay of Manhattan as the driver. Reports indicate Kahssay became distracted and lost control of his vehicle, resulting in the rollover.
Emergency Medical Services transported Kahssay to Via Christi for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Kahssay was cited for using a cellphone without a hands-free device.
