A Manhattan man was arrested Wednesday evening on two outstanding warrants and is now facing additional charges, according to the Riley County Police Department.

William Benner, 24, was taken into custody at approximately 5:43 p.m. on Oct. 22 in the 400 block of Fort Riley Boulevard. He was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant, both for failure to appear.

The warrants stem from original charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as driving without a license. During the arrest, Benner was additionally charged with interference with a law enforcement officer and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility.

He was issued a total bond of $18,500 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
