Six K-State students have been awarded the nationally competitive Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship for international study opportunities.
The selected students are Hannah Macke a senior from Baileyville in agribusiness, Kadin Waterman, a sophomore from Fontana in park management and conservation, Thomas Worstell, a graduate student from Blue Springs, MO in architecture and Richard Charlton, a junior from Tyner, NC in wildlife and outdoor enterprise management. Two other students chose not to be identified.
The Gilman scholarship provides up to $5,000 to help US undergraduate students at two-year or four-year colleges or universities participate in study abroad programs worldwide.
