An active weather pattern is bringing chances of severe weather to the Manhattan area over the next couple days.
The Manhattan area is an enhanced risk for severe storms to develop this afternoon and evening. National Weather Service Meteorologist Matt Flanagan says the storms that develop will likely then move out of the area quickly.

Large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes will all be possible. Multiple rounds of rain could also lead to more flooding. Flanagan says the pattern remains favorable for storm development Wednesday and beyond.
