Free COVID-19 testing was put on pause Tuesday due to weather but resumes today out at CiCo Park.

Wellhealth is providing the saliva-based PCR tests through the Riley County Health Department daily except for Sundays and holidays. So far 1,360 patients have been tested this way with 65 positive results recorded. The health department said Tuesday the saliva-based testing will continue through the end of January.

Riley County did not report any new COVID data Tuesday, but did confirm 45 new cases Monday with 13 hospitalizations. It’s next report is due out Wednesday.

Pottawatomie County confirmed 80 new cases Tuesday and currently has 123 active cases and 952 listed as recovered. Seven patients in Pottawatomie County are currently hospitalized.
