Bishop Miege knocked down seven 3-pointers in the first half and never relinquished control, defeating the Rock Creek girls 59–43 in the Class 4A state semifinals at Hutchinson.

The loss sends Rock Creek to the third-place game Friday morning.

How it happened

Both teams came out pushing the pace early, but Bishop Miege quickly found a rhythm offensively.

Scarlett Singleton caught fire from beyond the arc, knocking down three first-quarter triples, while Jayla McClinton powered through contact for an and-one basket.

The early surge forced Rock Creek head coach Trevor Keller to call a timeout late in the first quarter as the Stags built a 19–9 advantage.
