After a dry start to the day, storms are expected to return to the region late Monday night, primarily affecting north central Kansas, according to forecasters.
Some of the overnight storms could become severe, bringing the potential for damaging winds, hail and heavy rainfall. The National Weather Service says the greater risk for severe weather is forecast for Tuesday evening into the overnight hours, with the possibility of more widespread heavy rain.
