Riley County needs more Election Day workers.

County elections officials on Tuesday said they’re looking to hire 20-25 additional workers to help out with the Nov. 5 general election.

“For the 2020 presidential election, almost 65% of registered voters participated with a total of 25,073 ballots cast,” county clerk Rich Vargo said in a written statement. “We’re expecting, and hoping for, even more voters this year, so we want to ensure plenty of staff are on hand to help.”
