Riley County on Monday launched a new online, self-service scheduling system for COVID vaccinations.
Vaccine appointments are now open to all residents 18 and older who have not yet received the shot. Anyone interested can go to rileycountyks.gov/vaccinerequest.
All first dose appointments this week will be held at the Riley County Health Department, 2030 Tecumseh Road. Second doses will still be administered at Pottorf hall in CiCo Park through mid-May.
The health department is planning a vaccine Facebook Live event Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with area physicians on hand to answer questions from the public.
To date, Riley County has fully vaccinated over 10,000 individuals and another 8,100 have received at least their first dose.
