A Manhattan man charged with murder didn’t get the bond reduction request his attorney asked for.

At a preliminary status hearing Tuesday, District Magistrate Judge John McNish denied a motion for bond modification for 24-year-old Hunter Smith, who allegedly murdered his girlfriend.

Public defender Trey Bryant, Smith’s attorney, requested a decrease from $1 million to $100,000 for Smith.
