Officers filed a report for assault and criminal damage to property at approximately 5:46 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2026 in Manhattan. A 34-year-old woman was listed as the victim. A 32-year-old man, known to the victim, was listed as the suspect. Jacob Bernard Underwood, 32, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 10:39 p.m. in Manhattan. Underwood was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for burglary, criminal damage to property, contribution to child misconduct, and violation of a protection order at approximately 12:01 p.m. on Sept. 9 in Manhattan. Listed victims include a 47-year-old man, a 43-year-old man, and 26-year-old woman. A 29-year-old man, known to the victims, was listed as the suspect. Cru Kalen Eaves Foster, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 1:43 p.m. in Manhattan for burglary, criminal damage to property, contribution to child misconduct, and violation of a protection order. Foster was issued a total bond of $15,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for theft of property or services at approximately 10:41 a.m. on Sept. 9 in the 300 block of Zeandale Road. Kaw Valley Greenhouses was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 44-year-old male suspect embezzled money from the business. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $19,425.

Officers filed a report for three counts of criminal threat, one count of domestic battery and one count of interference with a law enforcement officer at approximately 10:08 a.m. on Sept. 9 in Manhattan. Listed victims include a 60-year-old man, a 38-year-old man, a 49-year-old man and a 43-year-old man. A known 25-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Jose Luis Baez Medina, 25, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 11:14 a.m. in Manhattan on three counts of criminal threat, one count of domestic battery and one count of interference with a law enforcement officer. Medina was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
