Adrian Tyrone Watson, 56, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 8:34 p.m. on Aug. 13, 2026 in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. on a pair of Riley County District Court warrants for failure to appear, and another for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of violating the Kansas Offender Registration Act, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one count each of criminal threat, and battery, as well as violation of a protection order. Waston was also arrested for interference with a law enforcement officer, theft of property or services and criminal deprivation of property on a report originally filed in April 2026. Watson was issued a total bond of $201,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Austin Dean Cater, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested on three counts of aggravated assault, five counts of harass by telecom, two counts of criminal threat and one count of stalking at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Aug. 13 in 1800 block of Humboldt Street. This arrest stems from reports originally filed in April 2026. Carter was issued a total bond of $12,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery at approximately 3:28 a.m. on Aug. 13 in Manhattan. A 20-year-old woman was listed as the victim. A known 22-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Daniel Devon Leverette, 22, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 10:52 a.m. in the 3300 block of Kennsington Court. Leverette was issued a total bond of $8,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
