Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of Tuttle Creek and Fort Riley Boulevards on July 26, 2023, around 10:15 p.m. After arriving on scene, officers found a 1976 Ford truck driven by Zhang Guorong, 51, had turned south onto Fort Riley Blvd. and was hit by a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Kyle Field, 31, of Manhattan during the turn. Field was found to be intoxicated and arrested for driving under the influence. A passenger of Field’s motorcycle, Alexandra Manlove, 31, of Manhattan was transported to Via Christi for treatment of minor injuries.
Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 800 block of Pottawatomie Ave. in Manhattan on July 27, 2023, around 8:00 a.m. after an 18-year-old woman reported her van’s windshield was damaged. Rachel Lingenfelter, 43, of Manhattan was arrested on July 27, 2023, around 9:30 a.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for mistreatment of a dependent adult, theft, and two counts each of identity theft and criminal use of a financial card in connection to the financial exploitation of a now-deceased man in 2022. Lingenfelter was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.
Theodore Ayon, 41, of Manhattan was arrested on July 27, 2023, around 3:30 p.m. on two Riley County District Court warrants, both for probation violation, stemming from original charges of criminal deprivation of property, driving while suspended, and two counts each of violation of a protection order and domestic battery. Ayon remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $5,000.
Officers responded to the report of an injury crash in the 3300 block of Anderson Ave. in Manhattan on July 27, 2023, around 9:00 p.m. After arriving on scene, officers found a 2013 Harly-Davidson driven by Evan Harris, 26, of Junction City had rear-ended a 2011 Jeep Wrangler driven by Jorge Hanschu, 22, of Manhattan as Hanschu was turning off Anderson Ave. Harris was transported to Irwin Medical Center for treatment of road rash.
