
Officers filed a report of possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/stimulant and use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body at approximately 4:49 p.m. on June 4, 2026 in the 300 block of N. 5th Street. Denise Chantel Holder, 39, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 5:24 p.m. for possession of opiate/opium/narcotic/stimulant and use/possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body. Holder was issued a total bond of $8,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report of theft of property or services at approximately 4:02 p.m. in the 3400 block of Chimney Rock Road. A 24-year-old male was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 29-year-old female suspect stole the victim’s iPhone 16. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,200.
Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 10:45 a.m. on June 4 near N. Juliette Avenue and Leavenworth Street. Upon arrival, officers found 2015 Toyota Prius, driven by Zainab Shinwari, 36, of Manhattan, had struck a bicycle in the intersection, ridden by Christopher Korte, 27, of Manhattan. Tamana Shinwari, 8, and Hessam Shinwari, 1, were passengers in the car. Korte was transported to Via Christi Hospital for minor injuries. Shinwari was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
Officers filed a report of fraud at approximately 10:29 a.m. on June 4 in the 8200 block of South Port Drive. Leiszler Oil Company was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect altered a check and cashed it. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $77,046.84. Clifton Robert Mullins, 47, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 10:26 a.m. on June 4 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on 11 counts for violating protection orders. This arrest stems from a report filed in May. Mullins was issued a total bond of $22,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
