Officers filed a report of theft from a motor vehicle on June 12, 2024, at approximately 4:50 PM in the 100 block of West Chestnut Street, Riley. Officers listed a 43-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown subject entered his vehicle without permission and stole various tools and approximately $2,000 in cash. Gary Davis, 38, of Manhattan, was arrested on June 12, 2024, at approximately 8:30 PM in the 2800 block of Anderson Ave. Davis was arrested on probable cause offenses of computer unlawful acts, theft of property lost or mislaid, domestic battery, and criminal damage to property. Total bond was set at $14,000. Davis was confined at the time of this report.
