Cassandra Potter, 53, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 1:16 p.m. on June 11, 2026 in the 100 block of 4th Street on a pair of Riley County District Court warrants for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of criminal trespass and theft. Potter was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Gregory Hayes, 35, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 9:13 a.m. on June 11 in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from an original charge of violating a protection order. Hayes was issued a total bond of $12,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report of fraud at approximately 9 a.m. on June 11 in Manhattan. A 47-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect used information obtained through an online job application on Facebook to open various accounts, while the victim provided the alleged scammers with gift cards. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,153.
