
Nicholas Caesar Chavez, 24, of Greeley (Colo.), was arrested at approximately 5:30 p.m. on April 9, 2026 on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation and then arrested at approximately 6:29 p.m. on two counts of theft of property or services; Value $1500 to $25000 — both arrests taking place in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. The probation arrest stems from original charges of interference with a law enforcement officer and two counts of battery of a law enforcement officer. The later arrest stems from reports originally filed in December 2025. Chavez was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report of theft at approximately 3:45 p.m. on April 9 in the 200 block of Plymate Lane. A 44-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were listed as victims when it was reported an unknown suspect broke into their storage unit and stole an orange and black E-bike and a metal bedframe.
