MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for theft in the 4200 block of Spook Rock Way in Manhattan on March 31, 2021, at approximately 10:00 a.m. Officers listed a 38-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a 32-year-old female stole her yellow 2006 Volkswagen Beetle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $3,400.00. The vehicle was located at the Starbucks in Aggieville and returned to the owner. Philomena Rose Sulzen, 32, of Manhattan was arrested in connection on the offense of theft. Sulzen is confined in the Riley County Jail on a total bond of $2,000.00.
Officers filed a report for theft in the 700 block of N. Manhattan Ave. in Manhattan on March 31, 2021, at approximately 4:44 p.m. Officers listed a 22-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole his black iPhone XR. Officers filed a report for aggravated assault in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan on March 31, 2021, at approximately 5:18 p.m. Officers listed a 20-year-old female and a 21-year-old male as the victims when it was reported a 33-year-old male suspect threatened them with a weapon and the 21-year-old male shot at the 33-year-old male, striking him. The injured 33-year-old male then fled the scene and was later located around the area of 3rd and Kearney. He was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries and later to Stormont Vail in Topeka.
Officers filed a report for burglary in the 1200 block of Ratone St. in Manhattan on April 1, 2021, at approximately 12:15 a.m. Officers listed a 25-year-old female as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect entered her home and stole a Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS.
