Lasheen Washington, 45, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 10:32 p.m. on March 19, 2026 in the 200 block of Brooklawn Drive on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This arrest stems from original charges of violating the Kansas Registration Act. Washington was issued a total bond of $12,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report of fraud at approximately 2:40 p.m. on March 19 in the 700 block of Levee Drive. Superior Sleep Experience was listed as the victim when it was reported a known 54-year-old male suspect withheld payment he received from a sale at a recent home show in Manhattan. Sonia Reeves, 53, of Westmoreland, was arrested at approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 19 in the 600 block of Colorado Street on a pair of Manhattan Municipal Court warrants for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of theft. Reeves was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers filed a report of vehicle theft at approximately 8:33 a.m. on March 19 in the 1000 block of Garden Way. A 22-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole her dark blue 2020 Kia Sportage. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $18,000.
