MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Blvd. and Bluemont Ave. in Manhattan on December 22, 2020, at approximately 2:46 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found a 2016 Nissan Sentra driven by Desiree Withington, 18, of Wamego had hit a 2013 Kia Optima driven by Tiffany Edmonds, 32, of Manhattan. Edmonds was transported to Via Christi for treatment of her injuries. Withington was cited for improper driving on a laned roadway.
Officers filed a report for theft and criminal damage to property in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan on December 22, 2020, at approximately 5:37 p.m. Officers listed a 20-year-old male as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect cut a lock and stole his red 2017 specialized Allez bicycle. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $813.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
