MANHATTAN, KAN. –
Officers filed a report for theft in the 200 block of S. 6th St. in Manhattan on December 21, 2020, at approximately 8:18 a.m. Officers listed a 58-year-old female as the victim when it was reported a 26-year-old male suspect stole her 2017 Range Rover Sport. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $50,000.00. The stolen vehicle was recovered and the suspect was apprehended by the Wichita Police Department at approximately 12:51 a.m. on December 22, 2020.
Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on December 21, 2020, at approximately 9:45 a.m. Officers listed a 17-year-old female as the victim and an 18-year-old male known to her as the suspect. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.
Officers filed a report for theft in the 2600 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on December 21, 2020, at approximately 10:07 a.m. Officers listed Flint Hills Moving as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole approximately 100 moving blankets. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,200.00. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
