A Kansas City man was taken into custody Friday morning following a domestic disturbance reported in Manhattan.

Riley County Police say officers filed the report around 8:23 a.m. Dec. 5, listing a 36-year-old woman as the victim and a 41-year-old man known to her as the suspect. The man was accused of battering her, damaging a door, taking property and trespassing.

Officers arrested 41-year-old Lionel Dixon of Kansas City on charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, criminal damage to property, theft and criminal trespass.

Dixon was issued a total bond of $12,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
