RCPD officers filed a report of an injury accident at the corner of Leavenworth Street and N. 4th Street on Thursday evening just prior to 7 p.m.
Officers are reporting that Lonny Scott, 50, of Manhattan, was crossing the street in his wheelchair when it struck ice and tipped over. Antonio Casillas-Ventura, 24, of Fort Riley, was approaching the intersection at the same time and subsequently collided with Scott.
Scott was transported to Via Christi by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
