Riley County Police Officers are working to identify a car responsible for a motor vehicle accident that took place in Manhattan Saturday.

Officers responded to a report of an injury crash around 10:30 pm near the intersection of Tuttle Creek Blvd and Casement Road. After arriving on scene, officers located a 2007 Mercury Mariner (mare-in-er) driven by 19-year-old Amanda Gaul of Manhattan.

Gaul had been traveling northbound on Tuttle Creek when an unknown car crossed into her lane forcing her off the road and into a ravine. The car that failed to stop had not been identified at the time of Monday’s report.

Gual was transported to Via Christi for treatment of chest and arm pain.
