A Manhattan man was arrested Friday night after allegedly fleeing from police, crashing a vehicle, and leaving the scene with three young children inside.

Police say 23-year-old Mason Moon was operating a vehicle while intoxicated when he attempted to flee from officers. He later crashed the vehicle and fled the scene.

A 2-year-old girl and two 1-year-old boys were in the vehicle at the time of the wreck.

Moon was arrested on three counts of aggravated battery, three counts of aggravated endangering a child, as well as the aforementioned driving offenses. He was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail.
